Well my home warranty i dont think covers the roof leak. When I looked at the renewal panphlet it says to check of $100.00 for leak roof. So now in April when I renew I will have to check that of. I paid $358.00 for the year. Anyways I guess i just lost a brand new laptop and now i have a roof to repair.

Um, I don't understand a couple of your sentences at all...I know you're stressed, though.

That being said, who's your homeowner's insurance policy with? I mean, you have already reported a claim, even if you don't follow through with accepting an indemnity payment, maybe at least you can get an inspection to determine the source of the leak. Just because it isn't covered by the warranty doesn't mean you can't attempt to collect from whomever did the work.

Remember that some credit cards automatically give you extra warranty protection if you buy things on the card. Did you do that? Check with your CC company.

You won't be saying that when you have a total loss. Then the $1k-2k you pay on your car will get you $30k back or the couple thousand you spend on your house and it could pay hundreds of thousands.

Considering what you have spent on your car, repairing the leaky roof will not be that expensive. Don't give up yet. See if you can track down the contractor that did the addition.

I didn't realize it was done two owners ago. I was under the impression that the addition was done within a year or two. I didn't mean to insult you.

I'm sorry to tell you that you're on the hook for it.
