Well...I have finally had the chance to drive the car for the last couple of days. I can happily report no vibration or squealing

 

I just wanted to thank Rob again for putting up this informative post as I had just finished installing my Axxis Ultimate brake pads and Rotora slotted rotors for the front of my car (didn't have enough time to do the rears due to impending darkness).

Changing the brake pads wasn't that bad. Just becareful how you wrap the brembo caliper with a cloth when using the channel lock. By accident the channel lock ripped right through my cloth and put a small scratch on one of my brembo calipers

Taking off the the old oem rotors was a real pain in the rear as I went into the install without the right tools. I had to buy a 18" breaker bar and 22mm sockets just to crack the caliper bolts loose. After they were off it was smooth sailing. I definately reccommend you get the help of a 2nd person (to hold the caliper) while changing out the rotors or find something to prop the caliper as you don't want them dangling by themselves (might ruin the brake line). I had to turn the wheel to each side to get a good amount of space to work the breaker bar. After the new rotor was on, I applied some blue locktite to the bolt and put the caliper back on. I put some of that red CRC brake squeel goop to quell any weird noises (just in case, I don't want my car soundling like Ryan's when I brake ) and slid the new brakes in and pinned them together. It took me about 5 hours to finish everything as I slowly took my time. Most of it went into cleaning the calipers with brake dust cleaner, a soft wire brush and water (Rob, I couldn't get it to be as clean as your's).

Now I haven't done the rears yet as I'm still wondering how i'm going to use that breaker bar in that small amount of space in the rear wheel well of the car (I wish I had a lift) to brake loose those caliper bolts. I'll probably have to buy wheel chocks as well...I'll take pics once everything is on and cleaned.

 

As a bump for instructions if anyone needs them again....and an update. I have had no issues with squealing, vibration, or lack of initial bite. Now granted I am easy on my pads in my opinion, but they have also gone through a track day at Sebring and were good. Don't get me wrong...this was only my second track day so I was not trying to set records and abuse the car...but I have been satisfied with the pads. The reduced pad dust is nice as well.

Thanks Demonteverde. Glad the slotted rotors were a do-able install. After these set of pads are replaced I am getting slotted rotors as well. How did the backs go?

Were the rotors resurfaced? When should they be resurfaced when changing the pads?

Changed my brake pads this morning using this DIY.
The only extra thing I needed was a piston pusher tool like the below to push the pistons away so I could get the new pads placed in.

 

6 years later and this thread still delivers!
