Me vs. Ferrari 550 Maranello
I know this isn't the racing forum, but I would prefer to share this with people that some what know me.
I was driving on the Turnpike this afternoon and I looked in my side view mirror and saw an exotic looking car coming fast. When he passed me I realized it was a Ferrari. I was going about 70 mph and he was going about 80 mph so I started instigating him from behind. He punched it and took off so I down shifted and went after him. I was going to pass him, but because of traffic I had to let off. He must have been like WTF cause he let me get next to him. He rolled down his window and signaled that he wanted to run. I then set my boost to 16psi because I didn't know how fast it was. I was in 2nd around 3500 rpms. He didn't do the 3 honk thing, but the passenger signaled when to go. He got a slight jump on me, but nothing huge. By the end of 3rd I had like 8 cars on him and let off. This was with my VDC on and my slip lights were coming on so I had to let of the gas for a second to get the slip light to turn off. During my gauge install the installer disconnected my shift light module which was wired to the VDC module from kp technologies and now I can't get the VDC to turn off at all.
After I killed him I let him catch up and he got next to me and asked, "what the *** is that?"
I took a picture as he drove off, but I left the camera at my sister's house. I will post the picture tomorrow when I get the camera back.
I now know that the Ferrari has around 485bhp and 420ft-lbs so it really wasn't competition, but it sure felt good to walk him like that.
