i still dont understand why any of you are hung up let alone surprised by this..

The GTR has always and will always be a NISSAN! The GTR has always been leading edge performance sports car and undoubtably will be again. How is continueing tradition going to change the mind set of anyone?? Hell the NSX didnt put Nissan out of business, none of the past skylines did...

The Gcoupe (a.k.a. Nissan Skyline) is not a standard infiniti, its a nissan with infiniti badging because the 350Z was too close in comparison. Are any other Infiniti's sold as Nissan's in Japan?

 

Nissan Gloria/Cedric is where the M45(previous version, new one is it's own variant entirely) and Q45 come from.
Dude quit being a D***. In his original comment he was saying the GTR would be comparible and compete against a certain Acura. I don't think the RSX could go heads up against the GTR. That is why he meant to say the NSX. Thanks for the informative post about the RSX. It was keeping me up at night wondering if they would discontinue it.

but to the flip side of the coin is the domestic cars. Look at the ford gt 500. But then again ford is in a financial crisis and is killing the GT 500 in 07 after they hoped to produce as many as 4000 units a year peak.

Yeah it would be wise rather nice to let each brand have a flagship model but its seems at least here in the states, remeber JPN and the US have completely different cultures, it would make more sense to post the GTR in the Infiniti Line Card. Japan is 13 hours away by jumbo jet, they drive on the other side of the car on the other side of the road and it is not uncommon for consumer goods to get rebranded when they cross the big pomnd.

It is a very exclusive car and better fits the marketing needs of the infiniti brand. If anything it would serve a a good mark in the game against MB and BMW. The G is a nice standout sports car but it really does hold up marketing wise agianst the aforementioned competitors.

I hear ya about the crappy week. I sent my director and VP and email today pretty much asking them to get it together on project I am heading up or I am out the door.


Man these guys are clueless there. Any way I still have a and I the management is no longer sleeping the helm.

I think I'll cry wolf everyday. Man talk about an ego boost... Jeez these guys should just do this once a week.
