Interesting milage with FI.
Well I know that a stock G35 5AT gets 18/25 miles per galloon and that I used to get 22 miles on my way to work which is mixed driving. Then along came my vortech and on the same trip to work I managed 21.1 or there abouts.....well fast forward to today, I have now installed the fuel return system and upgraded fuel pump along with APS 440 injectors and could not believe my eyes as I logged the milage to and from work........I managed 30.2 miles per galloon
Now who said FI was bad for milage

18.5 mpg average on my last 19 fillups ... I have a pretty heavy foot for about 19 tanks now Averaged in are also a track day and a drag day on those tanks where I got 8 - 10 mpg.
Interesting that the fuel return system seems to have provided an increase in mpg, that might be worth it right there just to up the mileage

I have also heard of another guy with a Twin Turbo 350z pushing 500WHP and getting better gas mileage than stock. He claimed it was due to the FI along with several other mods that would fall in line with what URBAN is talking about. I may just have to pick up a SC to save myself some gas money

BTW Urban, I saw you a week or so ago at APEX motorsports in Santa Clara, turning around in the parking lot. I was over there at an NSX meet, it was pretty well cleared out by the time I saw you. I was sitting in the parking lot next to my G chatting with my girlfriend....couldnt tell if you saw me there or not. Just wanted to say whats up....I recognized you from the Santa Cruz run.

I have never trusted the Navi since it fluctuates to much.

I do not have the AF print out before but we could not tune beyond 5500rpm no matter how much fuel we dumped so we did the best we could, we were getting a slight amount of detonation, that is when I decided to get the fuel upgrade and we were able to tune all they way up to 7100rpm so yeah we did a better tune on the car in regards to AF ratio.
I also stand behind the shop which tuned the car as they have done a ton of high performance cars.
