I'd definitely recommend an oil and powersteering cooler, tranny cooler too if you're auto. You may need the upgraded radiator if you track the car. If it's only for the street you should be ok stock.

Scott knows his stuff and he's a hell of a driver as is Michael. If you ever get a chance to get out to a track event with them go for it.

What ever turbo kit you go with, keep the boost low and not over 380whp! I learned the hard way.

I actually tend to agree. Boosting beyond 6-7 pounds increases risk to your engine significantly. You should really only do it if you understand that there's a possibility that you could blow. Of course boosting the engine in the first place is going to put it at risk but running higher pressures increases the risk exponentially (ok, maybe not exponentially but you get the picture ).

In short be conservative with your boost levels especially if it's your only mode of transportation and you can't afford $6k to rebuild the engine.

I wish it was only $6k!

For a decent build (after blowing your motor) with the best forged pistons and rods expect at least $10K+ including install.

I do plan on tracking the car once in a while but it's mainly a daily driver. Mine is a 6MT. So I was told that 7.5 psi would be where I'd be set at and pushing just under or at 400rwhp.

What does keeping the power steering fluid cooler do?

They also offered me thermal coating for a little extra. Did you get that?

The power steering cooler keeps your steering from going away as the heat increases through larger tires or more heat in general in the engine compartment.

Anything you can afford to do that reduces engine temps is a good thing. I understand that that thermal coating reduces engine temps well for the price.

+1 I have the thermal coating and it seems to be totally worth it. Also after an intense session at the track you'll find that you PS fluid can actually boil. Seriously, I watched bubbling in it's reservoir. I've never had the power steering go away completely, but it has gotten pretty stiff on me in the turns. Replacing the PS cooler is extremely easy and a decent B&M cooler will only cost you $75. Well worth it.

Roneski, I thought you got a VB upgrade sometime after your TT install? Are you still not confident about the AT holding up with the VB upgrade?

The SGP upgrade claims to be solid till 550 RWHP?

Keep your G35 as stock as possible, and buy something that can actually be fast (1G talon, etc..)

^ lame ^

you need to do a little research on some of the amazing G cars out on the road these days...

i love the G, not a talon, which is why I bought a G, nothing wrong with making it faster - 500 hp/tq not fast enough for you?

I do have the Forged Performance (formerly Forged Internals) VB upgrade, but I don't think that I'm willing to push the auto tranny past 425 right now. Maybe after a few more months of working it out I'll feel differently.

Thanks Roneski for the good words.
