utec or Emanage Ultimate?

which is the way to go. I have read good and bad about both. The EU seems to be several hundred dollars less and is supposed to have a better interface and "target A/F" settings. On the other side, I have heard the UTEC, although not as sexy, is a more powerful unit.

where can i see pics of interface screens for these units? how about online user guides?

both are buggy in different ways
you're more likely to find someone familiar with the EU or who can learn it than a tuner familiar with the UTEC or is willing to try to learn how to use it

UTEC does offer more features on paper though than the EU and is considered superior

I had experience with Greddy engine management. I was not very happy with the results. I would go with something that is made specifically for your car, the UTEC.

they're both going to do the same thing though - A/F and timing. The UTEC has a lot more adjustability but it's all more hardcore stuff like if your car was a much more complicated setup that the ECU wouldn't even begin to know how to run. Those more advanced capabilities are usually beyond what a tuner is wanting to dig into in the real world.

That and it's still just a piggyback

well in essence, nothing is a stand alone for the G35, except the EMS and I have seen many guys using that. An ecu reflash would help and is necessary in most cases, but there are something things that are beyond the ecus control.

HKS F-Con V-Pro is a true stand alone.

From what I have read, the UTEC is clearly superior to the EU.

Jeremy,

Are the darton sleeves new? Nice. I never asked, but what made you decide to go w/ the Greddy TT over the APS and JWT?

Im going to see how well this unichip works with my setup. Im a little afraid though because there are no local tuners. Is the Unichip USB laptop capable? Do I need to get a program?
