Do you know how fast you are going?
Do you know how fast you are going?
Watching that needle wipe the speedometer dial is exhilarating to be sure, and the faster the better. I suppose it’s possible that if a guy wasn’t paying attention, that the needle might even sweep up to who knows where!
But do you really realize how fast you are going?
Imagine driving your G35 around on top of a building 336 feet high (about 28 stories) with no barrier at the edge! How careful would you be? Would you walk over and look down just to see how high you are? Or would you crawl slowly to the edge and peek over with just one eye?
Back in the car, driving around, enjoying the view, the radio is playing some invigorating tune, you’re thinking about your mods and how zippy they have made the car, and you give the accelerator one little tap. Alas, something you didn’t plan on happens and before you can react, you are over the edge.
Suddenly, the view isn’t so hot any more and your foot is no longer tapping to the music. Now the only thing that impresses you is how fast the street is rushing up to meet you.
How fast do you think you will be going when you hit? Do you think the car will be totaled?
The next time you see that speedometer needle sweep past 100 mph (I mean, assuming that some people drive that fast) remember driving off that 336-foot high building. That’s exactly how fast you would be going when you hit the ground!
Oh, and if you really want to see how fast you G will go (rumor has it at 156 mph with the OEM limiter still in place) imaging driving off a building 818 feet high. Better hope that nothing happens you haven’t planned on!

Hmmm, what is Terminal Velocity again?
P.S. Oh yeah, remember the faster you are going the less you will feel the impact

I'm not a fan of excessive speeding in general. However the last time I drove off of the top of a building I didn't realize that I had steering control over where I was going as I was falling, and an opportunity to steer my way out and avoid the impact with the ground. Congratulations on one of the most retarded analogies ever.
Truly words to live by for someone with such a biography in their profile.
