Jim Wolf TT or APS ST w/ Aps exhaust?

I am going through a dilemma right now because i contacted both vtr and Gt Motorsport, and each said they can get me 360-380whp, for the same price, its just that i dont know what to do. Gt Motorsport told me they would install the turbo, new spark plugs, and aps exhaust for 8000. VRT told me they would just install and tune the JWT TT and get me the same whp for the same price. WHAT SHOULD I DO??

JWT TT for $8K installed!!!!!

DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok if it were me I would go that way. The JWT kit is the best kit on the market IMO.

go with vrt they are the best

jwt all the way

drsifu1 07-28-2006 11:51 PM

the reason i went with a ST over a TT was cost and the fact I would never use the full potential a TT would have offered me.

given only the details you have given us, it's a no brainer. Given the dynos VRT has provided, the JWT gives you HUGE amounts of TQ at relatively low RPMs. If they can can get you that power at safe boost levels on a stock exhaust, stock cams, than JWT all the way. Just make sure the price includes everything you need for a safe tune and install.

I don't know about JWT, but the APS is a complete kit, with upgraded fuel pump, injectors, engine management, etc. Make for damn sure the VRT guys are giving you everything you need.

Best of luck.

Does anyone know what is actually included inside the JWT TT kit that VRT uses?

drsifu1 07-29-2006 12:57 AM

would make more sense to ask VRT???

G-Mann 07-29-2006 01:26 AM

i heard that the jwt TT kit was close to silent when driven. that kinda takes part of the fun out of it..

My vote goes for VRT...obviously :)

he had the turbonetics kit installed by VRT... if your going to go with the JWT kit take it to VRT

ttrank 08-03-2006 06:34 PM

VRT told me that a basic coupe JWT TT kit was $10k so you need to get that in writing!

Disco_Monkey 08-28-2006 06:18 PM

I was also quoted "just under 10K" for the kit alone not including all the extras I want like gauges, clutch/flywheel, etc...

8K? I'd have done it already.
