squire system turbos

watching horsepower tv and they were installing a twin turbo system for a c5 vette from sts. the turbos mount in place of the mufflers in the back reducing engine compartment temps and resulting in 50 deg. lower intake air temp. very few modifications involved for install (ecu reprogram and larger fuel injectors). the increase in horsepower was from a stock 343 rwhp to 537 rwhp and also a 4 mpg increase in gas mileage. anyone know of this system and if there is one made for the g?

I've seen a bunch of videos of them on Vettes and F-body cars. Even though the system is starting to be a proven reliable horsepower maker on those cars, some things still bother me about the kit.

I don't really like all the piping back to the turbo, and then back to the intake manifold. It just seems like a long way to move all that air. But then again, with the right turbo, it could make the lag almost non-existant. And I guess all that piping could act as a sort of intercooler.

I also don't like the turbo sitting in that location. Seems like an accident waiting to happen, whether by road debris or by hot-as* turbo being blasted by cold water over and over. I'm not a material engineer, so I can't say that cold water would have an ill-effect on the turbo over time.

stock vettes put down 343 rwhp? I personally saw a C5 Z06 put down 350 rwhp.
