vortech 3.12 pulley

hey guys wanted to know where is a good place to pick up the 3.12 pulley set up in socal. i have the stock set up right now with the vortech blower and only getting 5 psi at 6000 rpms. Is it a good idea to go with the 3.12 set up to get more boost? Would it be safe to do this without new injectors, or would i need that n more?

I picked one up at www.summitracing.com, they usually have things pretty cheap over there.

yea well i did have the car tuned after the "breather mods" , but i think i just found my problem today. my gasket for the kinetix plenum is gone bad. i would think this makes a big difference considering the compression lost.

swatson, by any chance is your spacer on the stock plenum?

SWATSON you have the Fluidamper on your crank. It is larger in diameter.which will be overdrive,it is the same as putting a smaller pulley on the SC.That is why you got 8.7.On mine, I got 8.9 .

Swatson, the reason i ask is i wanted to know if i went with a spacer, would it fit on the Kinetix plenum. i think it would.

and to add about the 3.12 pulley, how do you know which part it is on the summit racing website, i just see vortech products, but dont know which one to choose?

For the 3.12 pulley you need a shorter belt (93.0")

I never installed the pulley, so I can't comment on what size belt. There are a few threads commenting on what people think is the best size belt.
