530s should be 7ish lbs on the wastegates, 700s should be 10ish lbs on the wastgates. I've been told the 530s are efficient to around 14lbs, depending on the level of the heads.

Awesome stuff Denny, there's something evil about taking apart a brand new car.

The C2 cams are pretty mean up top. I'm out of town on business, I'll hit you up when I get back and you can check it out. I have some cleaning up to do in my engine bay from the paint work, but it'll be presentable after a few hours of detail work.

Hey Viet,

You're right about the boost. Mark confirmed that it's around 10lbs with the 700's. Talk about evil.....I'm hooked!

If the 530s work to 14 psi, I'll probably never have a reason to change them out, then, since I doubt I will ever be going for an all out race build.

Thanks for the info!

Dave,
The 530's are very efficient if that's your ultimate goal. These ball bearing turbos have very little lag, and you can enjoy them for most of powerband. The 700's only have a slight more lag.

On a Non Built motor, 8 PSI if tuned correctly.

WOT on a built motor with the 530s, 14 PSI, after that the turbos run out of air.

The 700s on the waste gates make 10.5 PSI and around 450-480 out of the gate on pump.

The 700s are the way to go if you want big power and the lag is ONLY 250-300 RPM slower than the 530s.

Don't get me wrong, the 530s are fantastic and without a built motor the 700s are too much.

Good-luck.

Denny,

The Tune:
Here is my 350z with the exact set-up as your car. JWT BB700s with the Split Second programming.

I put the car on the DynoJet today for a little sorting out for a perfect 500 WHP and JWTs Dynopak.

The DynoJet at 13.5 PSI made 499.82

The JWT Dyno Pak at 14 PSI made 496

Suprisingly enough the numbers were extremely similiar. Sweet.

Power:

Remember, With this Yellow Z we are trying for the perfect Road Race Set-up for the MAXIMUM Corner Exit Speeds. So huge numbers like 650+ WHP is unnecessary at this time.

The car drives like a dreams as does yours. Don't want to give it back to you.

FYI, Tanner Faust is driving this car November 8, 2006 at Button Willow for the Super Street Time Attack.

Nice.

Can the BB530s make 500 WHP at 14 psi w/ a true dual 2.5" exhaust?

If not, would upgraded cams get you there?

I think that's the absolute max. Cams would help you get there. Eagle1's setup is with the 530's, and I think he's making 500whp.
