Tell me about it. I kept my registration dates on my personal calendar and PALM pilot so I can get ready to find someone to help me smog the damn thing. Whats great was that my Z somehow weighed as much as a 1996 V6 Camary *wink*. I had to do this for 7 years! But she was well worth it in the long run. Man, she was a beast.

ray you could always get a Greddy carb sticker and put it on the PE kit [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img]. That's what I used to do with exhaust systems. Not sure if Greddy still uses stickers though.

The smog tests aren't the only thing to worry about. We also have very nice cops that like to write up fix it tickets, impound cars or send you to the state referee.

Some smog checkers are actually really nice, they'll totally miss things on the visual. I've gone in with a dirty K&n mushroom filter on a dangling pvc pipe and the car passed. The referee's are nice too, but have to be a little more strict on the visual since that's part of their job.

I also did that too Ova, but lets just say once I went with 720cc injectors (can't idle worth $h1t), no cats, 3" downpipes, full 3" piping all the way to the muffler, plus a lot of other goodies there was no way my car would pass emissions.

I also love cops here in racer town Mira Mesa. Good thing I have a couple friends that are cops who write off my fix it tickets for me.

I would love to buy the PE kit, but I need to save money for the GTR!

As far as fitting the sedan, the answer is no. I spoke to the GReddy rep at SEMA and he said Greddy will be developing one for the sedan, but the kit will be much different in terms of fitment.

 

damn.. sux it doesn't fit the sedan.. but its all good to hear that they are developing one for the sedan. hopefully its sometime soon. VERY SOON

From everything I've heard, the kit for the Z will be available for puchase later this month. The kit for the G35 is still 3 months out.

I prefer Greddy over PE...PE is 400 rwhp @ 7.35psi and GReddy is 417 rwhp @ 7psi...yep GReddy will kill the PE kit...PE does come with fuel regulator and pump which is cool but GReddy comes with e-manage =)

 

Saying that GReddy will kill PE isn't really a logical statement...Its going to come down to engine internals and other extremely important and subjective factors...That, and it's a fact that the 1420s in the PE kit can supprt 650HP, as long as you build your engine correctly and upgrade all other necessary components...The PE kit exceeds the GReddy kit in equipment included...

the greddy kit has those 18g turbos do any of you know how much boost you can run on those. i was under the impression that the Greddy turbos were larger then the PE's

 

omg.. if none of the tuners are willing to make a suprcharger/turbo for the sedan, ithink im gonna trade in my sedan for the wrx sti!!! seriously... sedans get no love! booo

Man..........no turbo kit for sedan yet. It's not fair. I think so too, sedan owners get no love from aftermarket suppliers. What's up with that.
