ATI procharger BOV question

I have'nt recieved my kit yet but, I am putting together my shopping list. Question is for those of you that have the procharger and have changed your BOV what flange was needed? I am planning to get a HKS SSQV and have seen 2 different types of flanges, the flat steel and the adapter T tube one. Which is used for this BOV or can either be used? Thanks

I have the vortech bov I just had a flange welded onto the pipe. I dont recommend using reg bov designed for turbos. They release pressure differently which sometimes doesnt allow the surge to completely release. When that happens it puts more load on the blower and can cause the blower to go bad.

It's just a head up I had a buddy have the problem on his procharger that was on his IS300. After months of research with ATI techs thats what we came up with... Although that HKS SSQV sounds amazing.

Good luck if you need any help feel free to ask

I know I went with the procharger because I know of several mustang guys that have 100k + on there prochargers. They have weaknesses but their dependability is great for a daily driver. The BOV is the first change and the timing will be the second. And to clearify you just need the flat steel flange to weld on NOT the t tube one that hks offers.

You just need a SSQV flat flange. Not sure if that kit needs steel or AL? The ones I have used AL.

Ok after recieving the kit this is not a round steel peice as in most turbo kits. ATI part number av005a-001 the only picture i could find was here http://www.procharger.com/pdf/Chevy.Prod.du.pdf
page 32 its the chrome one but the one I have is black and is aluminum. So I guess I will have to get the t one. Did anyone else's have this same "proflow surge valve"?

No dude the one that comes on the G kit is a cheapo flap valve... I took the pipe it comes from to the shop and had them weld the flange onto it....

If you get the HKS SSQV you must get the purple insert for it! They have a gold insert and a purple. The purple insert sounds the best.
