I am waiting for TTranks stillen stage 2 supercharger to come in and have been doing some research on this and 350z forums, I have read that some people with these kits have taken off the little Idle pulley for the main belt
and have just been using their regular belt just tightened after a couple hundred miles

my question is who on this site has done this and do you all think this is a good idea,
I believe it is suppose to reduce noise and wear from this idle pulley

Anyway any input would be greatly appreciated

i thought about taking that pulley off, but i asked sam at stillen about it, and he said the main reason that pulley is there is to keep the belt from slipping at high rpms. In the end, i just decided to keep the pulley on

 

i disconnected mine as well and have had no belt issues.

 

Keep it on, just don't tighten it down too hard. The belt is tight as it is, but this will keep it from slipping when you're at WOT.
