Stillen SC w/ 3.5 or steeper gears, anyone?

Anyone out there has or thinking of having a Stillen SC esp those w/ 5AT combining it w/ 3.5,3.7 or even 3.9 gears?? Pros and Cons. Any input would be appriciated. Traction problem I agree that will be the problem...but 0-60 and 1/4 mile..faster??

my x came with 3.5 unlike most rwd g35s. i raced another guy with stage 3 at the track. my car pulled faster in the first half of the track but he ended up catching up by the end (and yes, passing ). i really don't see the point of changing to higher gear ratio since you cannot handle it via traction. if you put slicks on, then it's a different story.

You were faster but you lost at the end w/ only a 3.5... even tho you had 5 gears....i would have think at the end of the 1/4 mile you wouldnt have max out your rpm in the 5th ..did you? Plus yes if you said slicks would make a big diff but you also mention that you lost at the end therefore slicks wouldnt have made any diff since you will lose at the end anyways because you had the lead therefore your traction was better than him. Was the other guy a 6MT?NOS at the end? Can anyone out there w/ a Stillen stage 3 or 4 w/ 5AT tell me what gear your tranny is in and max rpm at the end of their 1/4mile run. Im in the process of getting a Stillen SC hopefully straight to stage 4 and setting up my car w/ 3.7 gears. And yes i'll be running slicks at the track. I just want to know if it is possible to get a big launch and lead therefore even at the end of the 1/4 mile where the stillen sc probably dies out a little you be far ahead enough that a mod Vortec would not catch up at the end.

One of the fastest Stillen drivers was Toptoneone/caususioncoupe hit high 12s. Here's one of his vids

If the Vortech is making more power it will trap higher mph and will most likely catch you at the end. What's the top speed in 3rd for the 5AT on the G?

the reason i jumped on the other guy was because my car is awd. i had no problem with traction. his was auto but he changed his final drive to 3.5 or even higher? the reason he was able to pull on me in the end is because he had more boost. i'm running 5.5psi vs his ??? (stage 3 at the time).

mine with the 3.5 will just shift into 4th just before the end of the 1/4,and a modded vortech will deff catch and pass you at the end.
