Gas mileage after FI?

Hey guys after I installed the vortech recently my gas mileage has gone down significantly and I'm wondering if it should be something to worry about. Basically with a lot of street driving and a couple of wot runs, i was averaging about 10-11mpg. So on my next tank I drove a lot of local (no highways) but did not do any WOT runs and shifted at about 3krpm or less. This resulted in about 12-14mpg. Then I did a combo of both local and highway driving and this resulted in about 15.5mpg.

Before the vortech I was averaging about 19 to sometimes 20 or more. Now I get 15 if i'm lucky with highway driving!

put it this way, you'll get better gas mileage than a viper when you're cruising around normal, but WOT is going to be about the same give or take your whp level

Driving on the highway, I didn't notice any difference, I can still do about 600km (or ~400 miles) on one tank. However, around town and when I give it, gas milleage is pretty bad.

The one car I've done a vortech on gets about 15 in town. Or at least he used to. He hasnt told me what he gets since we installed the 2.87" pulley

Cool

Humm....

My car gets great gas mileage. I average right around 20 mpg around town...punching it from almost every red light!

I recently took a road trip to FL, and averaged around 30!

I usually get get ~300 to a full tank. Highway and street, w/ a couple quick runs on the highway.

i get 21-24 while cruising with APS TT with built block. around 17-20 with some fun in between. great thing about turbo is that boost is depend on engine load... not by rpm.

I was running a Stillen SC and I got just over 400 miles (all highway) and averaged about 23mpg. But around town is a different story. I was lucky (lead foot) to get 260 mpg. Take it for what its worth.

since recently joining the FI club and only having one tank of gas to average out I am getting 16mpg, before I was doing about 18mpg
I will know for sure after a couple more tanks to get a better idea of the average
of-course that is mainly around town and to school (back roads)

+ 1 on that around town driving equals about 250 miles out of a full tank, highway is around 380 miles.Of course when that little lite comes on i usally fill it up with about 16 gallons,so i really dont know for sure.
