The cut is the bottom of the glove box pc. I had to do that to mine too.

I didn't modify the OEM bracket or cut any holes in anything.

I didn't use the OEM bracket at all or put the black undercover back on. I didn't cut the UTEC or the stock ECU at all. I didn't cut the glove box at all.

I did remove an unused bolt and an unnecessary wire loom "holder" so that the UTEC could sit as high and as far back as possible (so that the glove box fits back without cutting, which it does).

I'd take pictures but I won't have my car back till July now.

here is the breakdown of it.

take the stock bracket, cut it in half, only use the front half.

cut the back half off so the 10mm bolt still goes through the part that holds the black panel up.

now cut the stud on the firewall off.

take the utec and cut all three studs off, and cut the whole part of it that sticks out on the side with more studs on it with some tin snips.

now here is the part where people mess up, put the stock ecu on the right and the utec on the left . make sure you keep the utec where all the plugs are facing down. that way you can plug stuff in forever and not have to take it all down.

fold the stock wiring up top and then push it all up in there!!

its cake and will work forever..

JWT TT 700BB, built short block, and possibly fully built tranny (still working on this cause it's a 5AT) - car is w/ Sharif now. I put in the UTEC w/ tuner and Innovate logging system (Auxbox, SSI-4, and a couple of XD16 gauges) before I drove it down so I could at least say I helped. (Actually I want to know how to do this stuff myself, so had to go w/ UTEC and innovate)

Audible > you should sell a kit man. Wish you had posted those specifics a while back. I looked through every post I could find before I started my install and still ended up trying it 4 different ways - and the black panel at the bottom still cannot fit. I did not want to cut the UTEC though cause I didn't know if TXS would complain about voiding the warranty on it.

yeah I might just redo it when I get the car back cause the way I have it now it's a pain to reflash (toggle switches are hidden) and I don't like it sticking down even a little bit. thx Jeremy.
