I talked to my shops owner yesterday , and he seems to think the AEM piggyback can take control of the timing just like the UTEC . Normally a piggyback justs off sets the timing . ANy one else hear this .

I stated a thread at my350z and guys there say it is just a piggyback that offsets timing and fuel . Just like the SS box does . So it isnt something I would be interested in .

I believe the UTEC is also essentially a signal interceptor UNLESS you go speed density mode?

I don know about the speed density thing . I do know it can take total control of timing and fuel at any time you want .

I'm not 100% sure if that's true when it's using the maf.

You need a MAP sensor to run in speed density. In speed density the UTEC uses the stock ECU to control timing and fuel under idle, and the UTEC controls it all under acceleration.

You need the MAP sensor but that is a "must" IMO anyway.

the AEM FIC runs off a map sensor. It have a built in 4bar map sensor it use for fuel and timing
