$8500 is a pretty high quote for an installed Vortech kit (basic kit).

+1 You can even get a Tuner kit and buy other supporting mods to make it much safer for = Vortech kit for 3599, utec for 750, map sensor for 90, walbro for 90, and 3.12 pulley for 85 dollars, and 650 injector for 450 all shipped!! plus labor and still not go over $7.5K. ask Audible Mayhem for pricing.

Base kit should cost you well below $7K with install.

$8.5k for just the Vortech kit installed is definitely way too much. Even WITH tax here in Cali I was quoted way under that price installed.

ok, well since this is one of those big expenses...ish I think I will save up to around 8k and get the vortech. This will be my first mod, im not so sure thats a good idea but I know if I have the money now that I should get something big, and then save up for the "little" mods later.

again what does FTW mean? I keep seeing it on the board.

$8k will definitely get you the full Vortech with installation and you should still have some money left over. FTW=For the win. As in Vortech FTW (for the win).

/\ +1 but if you're going to save $8k go a head but never go back to that place that quoted you $8K for basic Vortec kit and install. If gauges and 3.12 pulley or utec is included then maybe.

PM me for a way cheaper quote...$8500 is ridiculous! We install our Vortech tuner package with everything you need to make the kit right for $6599.

And how much do you run for the full kit + install of a JWT TT package?

haha!! Yeah, I need a front bumper for the FMIC. The stock one just isn't gonna get the job done. I'm looking for a Kuruma Z or Top Secret front bumper. I'll race you for it . . . . after my car is done that is. J/K!
