Oil Specs for FI

I'm running a Greddy TT now. What Oil specification (eg: 5w-30) is best for this type of application. (Let's not get into which manufacturer is best - I thinks that's been flogged to death by now.)

IMHO. The oil's characteristics is much more important than the weight. So unfortunately, you will have to discuss each maker's offerings.

But for FI, it HAS to be 100% synthetic. Question is which one. I'd go Amsoil and have it analyzed every 5k for wear.

I've been using Red Line 5w30 until I got the turbos. It has Motul in it now. I'm just getting the info before I have to change it. I do like the Red Line.

Motul 300V 15W50....Amazing oil and in my opinion the best oil you can put in your FI, VQ engine.

I was running Motul 300V 5W40. I had it analyzed and I am not impressed. I had higher level than normal form Aluminum, Iron, and lead. That is pretty much telling me that I am having wear on the pistons, cylinder walls, and bearings.

Motul 300V 5W30 yielded similar results on someone elses FI VQ, too.

Right now, I am running Rotella T Synthetic 5W40. I'll see how that goes.
