Vortech owners: Who has swapped out their intercooler?

I was thinking about swapping out the Spearco intercooler I currently have with one that is slightly larger to better fit my soon to be installed Top Secret front bumper. Do you guys know what size I should get? I haven't actually measured yet.

Are you going for more of a polished look? Drew (gthizzle) has an ice vex intercooler. Its much bigger, had to remove the front aluminum brace and had to cut his TS bumper a little to get it to fit.

I think that he wants a bigger one to fit the mouth of the bumper better

Yeah I just want it to look a little better. I can get one from my sponsor for basically nothing, so it was just an idea. If I have to remove my front crash support, I probably won't do it. I did polish the end tanks for my Spearco already.

Do you have any pics of your polish of the end tanks? I have been thinking of doing that.

No, but I'll try to take some soon. I need to take my TS bumper to get painted, so I might remove my OEM bumper to test fit. It's a real PITA though. You have to sand down the rough casting, working your way to higher and higher grits of sandpaper.

You might want to measure the opening in the TS bumper . A IC that fills the whole openning looks best....to me . The Ice Vex I have is much larger than stock , but still doesnt fill the opening all the way . Its ok from top to bottom , but from side to side...it comes up short .

I'm going to be replacing mine with something custom soon. Btw, don't go too big or you will see a big PSI drop. Will post up pics when I get it done.

IC40-M .......... 31 inches long with end tanks . Of course this is with a T-trim blower . I think going to big with the stock blower would result in boost taking longer to build .

So you got the 600mm x 300mm x 100mm core size. Top Speed has a 700x300x100 that I might get then that's about 33.5" wide with end tanks.

I would think about having a custom IC made to fit your opening completely . It would end up being about as tall as the stock one but much longer to fill up the opening .

I just may have to contact Bell Intercoolers, since a few teammates are sponsored by them with custom made intercoolers.
