Thats why you hear of so many people paying to have the job done right. They take a thing called a road trip to have a greatly tuned car.

every shop has a few bad stories, it all depends how they deal with it. as for the op, you are pushing it if you get over 400rwhp on the stock block.

if you want 500whp under 10k with mildly built motor, you have to do everything yourself.

i can do 500 whp for 10,000 ish... greddy kit, JWT clutch, and some C16...

500 at the crank, maybe, at the limit - and even then there is no telling how long the stock rods will last - maybe 5 miles, maybe 50k.

Since you're in cali, go to GTM and get it done right.
