Can a mod for this section please move this to the FI section.

Answer:

No because you have a supercharger which requires a pulley and engine rpm to determine your boost.

A boost controller controls the wastegate(s) on a turbo setup because turbos will just keep making more and more boost until the wastegate(s) open or they reach their max boost.

Yes if you add a wastegate to your SC setup and overboost on purpose. Still trying to look for more results from this.

What?

Are you going to run a wastegate on the intake pipe or something kinky like that? A wastegate routes exhaust gas away from the turbo and straight into the exhaust. That won't help a sc at all...

I think it has been done but they where running the T-trim blower. wastegate help them give that extra boost on the lower-mid RPM that the T-trim gives and at the same time vent the extra air after a certain PSI that you want has been met... kinda weird but I can't verify right now if it actually work 100%.

I remember reading about a G with a Vortech. Basically, set up a waste gate to route the intake air out of the stream, that way they are able to overboost, and control the amount boost entering the motor. Same function (remove air), different location.

yeah if I remember correctly, running say a 12 psi pulley, but only allowing it to hit 10psi at peak. This would increase the "under the curve" power, yet still allow a safe peak HP.

Also, with the wastegate and Boost controller in place, you would (theoretically) be able to use different maps for different psi.

More or less, boosting a 12PSI pulley will give you more gains in the lower RPMs, but can still limit the boost reached in the higher RPMs to keep things safe.

Can it be done, yes. But it'll take a lot of time, money, planning, etc.

I'm not exactly sure of the power the procharger produces.
