Coupe bumper W/SC ?
Just finishing up my Vortech S/C install. Any reccomended bumper covers to help my intercooler chill ?Nothing kiddish (sorry street racers) just functional.

Dollar you should at least paint those little grilles the same color as your car. It just doesn't look right to me. Maybe mesh would look better?

I would get the Top secret or greddy bumper, but its fiberglass. That bumper on a slammed car on city streets will be a nightmare.

Hey dollar99...Im getting my vortech installed the 7th of April...was planning on cutting the bumper exactly like your. Is there any thing I should know about it before I start cutting ? thx..Bill

The holes are cut to serve a purpose, not to please the eye. I would rather have holes in my bumper then spend $1000 on a fiberglass bumper.

i have no advice, but, i jus put a depo. on a 2004 6mt today, AND on the vortech s/c kit...
i need as much help (what to expect) as i can get....

That comment about 400+ not being safe refers to the horsepower at the wheels.
Dollar99 is working backwards from his wheel HP (as measured on a dyno) to get to crank HP. That's pretty common practice and the same thing all of the FI venders do when publishing their numbers.
On a manual transmission, a rough-estimate rule of thumb is WHP % 0.83 = Crank HP.
Based on my latest dyno, my estimated crank HP is 450.
