Benefits of a new exhuast?
Benefits of a new exhuast?
I'm currently running a Vortech system with 3.33 pulley and a 3 inch single exhuast from resonated test pipes to a Greddy SP muffler. I was wondering if I would benefit from switching to a true dual exhuast setup like the HKS. I was also wondering how loud the HKS exhaust is with resonated test pipes. Thanks for any feedback.

HKS would not be so great for Forced Induction. Its piping is only 2.25.
Hector (Hexxum) went from an HKS (2.25) to an EVO (2.75) to a 2.5 (Fast Intentions). Turns out, 2.25 is too small to get good power on a centrifugal SC, 2.75 is much too much flow, and 2.5 was the sweet spot.
In other words, stick with a 2.5 true dual exhaust. There's no need for anything bigger unless you are turbo'd or make insane power for an SC.
Not enough flow and too much flow is what you want to stay away from.
Anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong...
