how does everyone "prep" there engines for these kits because obviously our cars are not made for these kits?

I like to start by opening the hood and lifting the car, then your ready to install.

just because there is a kit for it doesn't mean that the engine can handle it

well lemme add some relief to this thread.

To keep boosting the car as safe as possible...make sure you include a decent engine managment like the utec and have a good tuner to keep it clean and safe. Bigger injectors and fuel pump will add more security.

"prepping the engine" is a really general term i guess...

but a built motor if you can afford it is the smartest way to go.

I know it was a smart a$$ answer but d@mn, there are a ton of threads on this subject along with a great sticky on my350Z.com under F/I. Do a little searching and reading and you'll find more information than you'll need. You may even scare yourself out of it.

What i would recommend you do is use the search function on this forum. There are countless threads about what you inquire. Kits start at4k and can go up to 8k, if you do an engine build, then everything done and installed can cost up to 15-20k. At that level, you will be pushing well over 500+bhp.

Now as far as where professional shops are, you would have to look at what is available in your area.

People in this forum will pick on you because instead of using the search feature, you just opened a thread. You are a new member, welcome, stay, enjoy, and use this forum as a resource to learn about your car.

This thread is a perfect example of someone who needs to search before starting a new thread on a subject that has been covered 1,000 times.
