Mike are there any clips of your BOV in action in your build thread? I'd like to hear it

 

using greddy type RS.. but wish i got a tial..

 

What does the Greddy RS sound like? I don't think there's any videos of it in action on youtube on an actual 350z/g35

 

Pretty sure I have heard that on a local gus car, its loud and more toward a high pitch.

Mine is much louder than this one...prob because we modified it to vent to atmosphere instead of recirculate...I also have twins which could make it louder I dunno

Dang your car sounds good! My BOV is much louder than the one in the APS video. Don't really know why. But yours has a more high pitched note to mine. Ill take a vid this weekend and post it up.

 

Can you post a clip of your Tial? Right now I'm shopping for a BOV and am torn between the Tial 50MM and HKS SSQV.

Yes you do Mike! Your car is a rolling work of art! I must be captured on video from all angles including some in car video shots haha.

Question...the APS BOV is also one I'm interested in. How different is the sound if you set it up on recirculate vs. venting to atmosphere?

Synapse is the ****! That's whats next for me. I had the HKS SSQV...it sucked even on the softer setting. I'm using the Greddy Type-RZ, its working great but tooo loud.

Mine is much louder than that one too. That one sounds like it re-circulates back in. Recirculating is much more quiet. Mine has a much higher pitch to it as well. Next weekend Im gonna get my buddy to take some vids...inside the car as well as out side the car, and send em off to ya.

 

I appreciate that Mike. I'm torn between Tial, APS and HKS and just wish they made a universal BOV that allowed you to switch between the sounds at the flip of a switch haha

 

^ TiAL sounds good I have heard those...HKS ehhh I dont really like. I am really pleased with my APS...more so than I thought I would be. Vids next week for ya!

 

Just to add to that, in stock configuration, the APS BOV vents to atmosphere under high boost and recirculates under lower boost. It's got 2 ports. Honestly I cant tell the difference in my car. Its a bit louder when it vents to atmosphere but not by much. Also its more hiss like sounding than the tweety bird sound in the video. lol
