Simple some people have well off families, you actually think that 16 year olds have a full time job earning real good money to do stuff like that to their cars

I started at 20 and so far after 39 cars I think I actually found the ones I like

They probably work and work. No University, but that doesn't mean you can't be successful.

WTF, George@GTM is 23? Thought he was older.

I don't buy that at all. Considering that unemployment has risen more in one month in 22 years, I find it hard to believe that at 18 you are "working and working." I know people with masters degrees that can't find jobs because the market is so bad. So why would anyone hire an 18 year old that remotely pays decent?

Maybe some people are lucky with their job opportunities and others aren't. At 18 I was making $12/hr after high school, which was great money compared to anyone else at the time, and that is not enough to buy a G35 and boost it.

And just so we're clear, I don't think you have to go to university to be successful at all. I just believe that it is next to impossible to have that kind of money on your own at 18.

Most of them tend to work in commission jobs, from my experience. I know a few that are in banking (loan officers, mortgage, etc) that make good money. But they live at home or with roommates, so they can spend most of their money on their hobby.

Most of them can't find jobs because they want more money than what the market is offering.

I bought my first car cash at 18... only took 3 years of saving... and it was a little econobox.

Econobox isn't a G. I bought my first car when I was 15, a 1973 mustang for $1500, after working at Winn Dixie. I bought my G35 brand new in 2006 after working 5 months after college (loan).

This isn't about wether or not you can afford a car, it's about wether or not you can afford a G35 plus be able to boost it without going into massive amounts of debt.

meh, He has the bank of mommy and daddy. Everybody at my school has really nice cars, but I think I am one of the few if not the only one whom has paid for everything myself lol. It's just money, it comes and goes.
