5AT Starting my, build boost controller question and more

Hey guys, I'm the OB of a 04 5AT g35 coupe and I'm starting to build this summer.

So far I've done a borla exhaust, Eibach pro lowering springs and 20's

I've bought and am still waiting on:
PE full kit (twin turbos with pan, 380 injectors, intercooler, f pump, piping ect...)
Apexi AVC-R boost controller
Stillen valve body upgrade
ECU flash

KT at ultimatez sold me on the Apexi but now I'm thinking I should have gone with a HKS EVC VI, anybody have the HKS or Apex'i and have an opinion of either to share? I'd like to mount the controller in the ash tray space on the console, I know the EVC will fit, I'm wondering where people mount there AVC-Rs?

Anybody have a guess on what kind of numbers I should expect with the PE and flash?

My understanding is that the IHI turbos with the PE kit have internal wastegates with the springset at almost 5 psi,
The boost controller will allow me to bypass the internal waste gates? and set my own boost level?????
I was told up to 7psi was all that the rods could safely take any opinions (I know there are other threads on safe boost/stock block and have read)?

What else do I need to do this right?

I would NOT get the stillen VB. That shiet is trash. I didnt believe ppl that a big company like stillen would make bad products. I was wrong. I had to swap the stillen VB for the SGP. SGP had to reorder parts for the VB bc stillen actually messed it up. Dont go with stillen VB.

I went through a long debate with the Stillen VB, their VB ftl!!! I though Stillen would make better products, they end up making a worthless SC and a stupid VB etc. I went with the GTM Stage 2 Tranny upgrade (VB, TQ Converter) and I dont regret it one bit.

for normal driving you will never need to upgrade your torque converter. This was a worthless investment unless you are drag racing. The stillen VB upgrade is garbage though.

OP the only thing I see wrong right now is the reflash. I would never go for a reflash if you are adding boost. Go with a Utech or SS box, Haltech, Emanage ultimate, etc. You also will probably want a tranny cooler. the VB upgrade does not strengthen the tranny, it only allows it to shift quicker (which is definitely needed with boost on the 5AT).

You also need gauges, probably should get an oil pan spacer, etc.

Well I switched to the HKS EVC hope it was a good choice,
I'm gonna dump the Stillen VB, checked out the GTM
any comments on Tranny cooler?
whats wrong with a flash instead of a stand alone? I thought flash = > piggy back ecu... and = stand alone with good tune....
PE kit comes with a whole new bigger oil pan, no need for spacer, and I know that its not good to rely on the boost controller to read intake man pressure, but I haven't seen any gage pods I like any suggestions?
Rider little help?
hex what facia is that?

Nice follow up OP!

To clear up a common misconception, you had it right from the beginning. A well tuned reflash will be far better than any piggyback. If you get tired of UTEC related issues, you can always sell it and get Osiris nicely tuned for not too much more money.
