Bout time to turbo any last tips?

So Im looking into the turbonetics single turbo kit
ive some research, and ive found a shop that will do a good job for me
and i know how much power i want and what i should be expecting from this
now couple of questions i have is that, my car is at 100,000 km's now, and it is my daily driver, if i turbo it now what can i do to make sure that things dont start going bad in the long term(another 20-30k),

- Will i still be able to drive it daily?
- Any last tips on saving a little bit of money here and there, or anything that will help alot in the end

And yes i know, im planning on getting everything done at once and not trying to take short cuts so i dont run into problems later on,

You could get a 4 or 6 psi spring for your wastegate and a boost controller so you can lower you daily driving max boost and save the full 8 psi for when you really want to play.

I have spent alot of time researching forced induction over the past few months (I used to have my real name as my screen name, but changed it when I started posting). I found the following threads very, very informative. If you have not done so already, I would strongly recommend that you read each of these threads. The first two are "Stickys" of this forum, so you may have already read them. If not, you should.

https://g35driver.com/forums/forced-induction/222225-forced-induction-noobs.html

Please make sure that your tuner knows, and really knows, VQ motors. You do not want to experience what the guy in the last thread noted above went through.

There are alot of variables. It all depends on what you want to spend...

When I initially looked at adding an APS twin turbo system, an APS 2.5" True Dual Exhuast, an APS Tall Boy Intake Plenum, JWT Clutch and Flywheel and Swift springs to my otherwise stock G35 6MT Coupe, the cost was somewhere around $13,000, installed.

There are less expensive options, however, which will provide the same amount of power. For example, use a Motordyne 5/16" Plenum Spacer instead of an entirely new plenum. Also, the Greddy and JWT twin turbo kits are less expensive than APS, though it's my understanding that APS provides the cleanest install. I'm sure that's all subject to opinion, though.

Here is the link to my build currently underway:

I have the Turbonetics system on my 2006 Coupe. I drive it every day and have had no problems in the 4000+ miles since the install this past spring. I did have a rubber gromet get sucked up into the turbo and ruin the blades (my fault, long story). That brings me to my next point, customer service. Turbonetics took care of me like I never expected they would. When I recieved the turbo back from them there were some missing fittings, I called them and they overnighted them to me no questions asked. I can't say enough about this company. I would recomend this system to anyone. Oh ya, it still gets 26 MPG.

I did have some problems with the install. I wasn't completely happy but I am not going to get into that. I spouted off on another thread and I am not going to continue to bash the shop, that would not be fair to them and they deserve to take the feedback and move on. I will say this however, make sure that your shop of choice has done this install on your model more than once and has a reputation for doing a good job. Maybe talk to some of thier past customers if possible and see what they think.

I would also recomend a Meth/H2O injection system to prevent pre-detonation, it is cheap insurance ($300'ish) and easy to install.

I have nothing other than this turbo and a Snow Performance Meth/H2O injection system, stock exhaust, stock intake and a re-flash from Technosquare and my car makes 340 Rwhp at 8.8 PSI. It does 0 - 60 mph in 3.9 seconds if I am really ringing it out and bangin' gears, yes, I said 3.9!!! I did not expect that from 340 rwhp but the acceleration does start to fall off after 70 mph (still very impressive but it ain't beaten any Zo6 any time soon).

Here is a quick video walk around and a 0 - 60 run. I was holding a camera and trying to launch and shift at the same time not to mention there was a slight incline on this road. It was a pretty easy run and if you put a watch on it, you will notice that in this video I hit 60 in just a hair over 4 seconds.

You are going to love it, have fun!
