Turbo kits...

Is anyone out there waiting on one or looking for one? I talked to a shop that said they had two sitting on the floor, and apparently no demand. Anyone?

Re: Turbo kits...

From what I've seen, G35 turbo kits run into the $6k range while superchargers are in the $3K range. A turbo might be able to build more power but that extra $3K is a big pill to swallow. Also, I doubt that a turbo for a NA engine like the G35's is anywhere as easy as a supercharger to install or tune.

Re: Turbo kits...

I have had vehicles with both types of forced induction, and I have to say I had a much better experience with the supercharger. (At least as an overall value).

Geo... what shop had these turbos? PM me if you want.

Greddy or Power looks to be the best.

Re: Turbo kits...

Zentra, how can you say Greddy and Power look to be the best? SSR only made one kit so far that they put on a car and JWT's kit isn't even out yet. JWT has a top notch reputation for Nissan tuning and from the sneak peaks people got of his kit they said it is awesome. We have to wait and see.

Re: Turbo kits...

KjbAlto, I personally dont like the two mini-intercooler setup that SSR and JWT are using. I know that JWT and SSR both have great reputations, i'm not denying that at all and i'm sure both JWT and SSR kits are going to get the job done. It's just a personal opinion based on the dyno information and feedback already provided by both Greddy and Power about the capabilities and performance of their kits.

Re: Turbo kits...

Personally, I like the dual intercoolers as I prefer to keep my stock front bumper. For performance reasons, it may be better to have one large intercoolor. I guess we'll know when the JWT kit comes out as it seems several people are waiting for it. Also, I believe the JWT will come with an ECU upgrade.

Re: Turbo kits...

Will it be cheaper than the Greddy kit?

Re: Turbo kits...

There's no pricing information yet. If I had to guess, it'll probably be more expensive than the Greddy.
