Actually it didn't. They're giving him a new blower b/c it's under warranty. The attitude didn't add anything to his situation, it only caused unneeded tension between him and Vortech's representatives.

normally they dont upgrade you due to warranty... they service it and rebuild it. The added publicity to the situation made them look bad so to hush the situation they gave him a new blower with upgraded bearings.

I can understand the frustration when dealing with a product like your Vortech that's faulty but getting up tight doesn't help you or the person
on the phone. This kinda approach may have worked this time but dealing
with people and pissing them off won't work to your advantage forever.
The "I need your help" approach and "My car died" would have been much
better....understand? I'm considering Vortech too!

Good luck with getting the new blower, I would be pissed too if I had my car down for 3 weeks only to have it break 2 months later.

yeah, the "be nice, and hope they have sympathy on you" strategy doesn't work at all, if you are in dealing with a company that has well known horrible customer service and at this point won't even speak to you. It generally doesn't even work with any major company or any party that wants to keep costs down. Mike did the right thing. Sometimes you have to force a party's/company's hand. This is one of the reason people hire attorneys, because attorney's are hired guns.

Congrats on your upgraded blower my little love pocket lol. You really should go turbo like everyone has said.
