Car: G35

Year: 2003

Clutch brand: Carbonetics

single, twin or triple: Triple

Current Mileage on Clutch: 500 mi

WHP: Currently 600+ (93 Octane, No meth yet)

TQ: Don't remember

Boost: 13.5 psi

What do you like about the clutch: Nearly factory smooth, seems to be very strong (I fried my Clutchmasters FX600 launching at 3k-4k rpm with 12 psi)

What do you dislike: As XKR said, price$$$

Conclusion: Smoother than the FX600, and seems to be holding strong

Additional info you'd like to add: Sharif was able to get one sent out the same day we ordered it! Japtrix received it on Thursday, installed it on Friday, and I made it to my NASA event at Sebring on Sunday.

interesting input... I thought there would be more negative comments, especially on the carbonetics.

I have a Competition Stage 4 (6 puck sprung). 487whp and 500tq on a Mustang dyno @ 12.5psi

No slippage, some chatter, stiff pedal feel, hate the feeling when you take off from a dead stop and you can feel the segments grab until you fully engage the clutch.

I have a fidanza lightened flywheel, and it revs way quicker than stock. Are the carbon clutches even lighter and faster reving or about the same?

I don't know of anything negative about the Carbonetics, but it was only installed on Friday. I drove up to Sebring, did the HPDS event, and then drove home. Not a single issue. I was not expecting it to be so smooth; that was a very pleasent surprise. The FX600 also was smoother than I thought it would be, but it was not nearly as smooth as the Carbonetics. Moreover, the Carbonetics clutch plates are pretty beefy in comparison to the FX600, which certainly inspires confidence.

Would you recommend this one for 500whp.

Would work really good for 500rwhp. They have a couple other clutches that may not be quite as grabby that will hold that power too.

Their stage 3 or stage 4 would hold that and probably wouldn't grab as much. Mine was almost unbearable for the first 300 miles but then smoothed out A lot.
