I was curious what parameter you were watching out of the 6.... I also bought the cable to connect it to the Fcon V pro but I do not see the purpose.

 

I know a couple of you guys have this....

 

I maybe wrong....but I though the Camp2 was suppose to be connected directly to the Fcon Thats the way mine is hooked up.

 

It can be hooked up to the fcon or with out the fcon.... I have it hooked up with the fcon. What sensors do you have yours keeping an eye on?

 

OBD-II and IF box

Speed (using offset to correct for shorter tires)
Timing
OBD-II water temp sensor
IF boost or whatever I want to change out too.
IF oil temp
IF oil pressure

Defi fuel pressure, boost gauge, and innovate on the pillar

 

1) Air/Fuel (A/F)
2) EGT (IF EXT_T)
3) Oil Temp (IF OIL_T)
4) Oil Pressure (IF OIL_P)
5) Water Temp (WATER)
6) Boost Pressure (IN_MANI) or Fuel Pressure (IF FUEL_P)

 

SOrry for the newbie question but if I have the vpro navi doesn't it display the same stuff as the HKS camp?

 

Sure, but the F-CON Navigator doesn't have nice graphics and is not really readable on the road while driving. I also don't know if the navigator has alarm capabilities like the CAMP2 does.

 

Hey terry, do u know if they have an option for oil temperature? I tried lookin at the manual but everything is in japanese.

 

For now I have it set to MPH, A/F and I forgot the other one........Sharif is going to install Oil Pressure, Fuel Pressure and Oil Temp......those I will monitor.

 

This thing can monitor anything a regular gauge can monitor. If the Camp2 came out when I was first building my car....I would not have installed regular gauges.

from what I heard, the next software update for the camp2 (supposed to be available this month) will allow you to monitor more things (oil pressure, etc) without the interface unit. Also, you will be able to switch fcon maps with the camp2. the current software version was supposed to allow map switching, but i guess the developers at hks got themselves a bug
