need help b4 i go raise hell

so when i got the car back from vortech/utec install. i was told my tune was lean at 1st then rich at the top end... well today at the track i noticed alot of smoke from my exhaust... 1st thoughts was damn im too rich and missing out on usuable power or i blew something up... thinkin maybe bad tuning... well car runs great and all then just now driving at 40mph and 1500 rpms i threw a SES.. check code and its code 0171 & 0172.. both say too rich in bank 1... well isnt it obvious that it is in the tuning? just want some advice b4 i go raise hell monday morning... the bashing might just begin

you know your car has ballz when the SES light is on haha thats what we use to joke about, i dont know i had a ses light on and never EVER had an issue, even when I checked it literally try to solve the problem, couldn't even figure a problem, the light was just there HAHA, tuner said it was my engine management thats making the car throw it, no big deal. When I had my Utec I had a SES light too but that had to do with my throttle, but even then, no symptoms haha just gunned it allll day

LoL, get used to the SES light, its boost and it are best friends.

Just make sure ur AFR's are good, and you should be okay. Just depends on how agressive ur tune is, but considering how much they got out of it, its probably okay.

U can try resetting your ecu and drive around town to see if the check engine lite comes back. I would get a better tune somewhere else and make sure to get a wideband at the same time so u can monitor what your tuner is telling is correct.

If you didn't know our boosted cars throw SES codes, you didn't research enough.

It's quite normal to throws 02/rich codes when boosted.

A GTM reflash will eliminate many of these codes when going F/I.

I don't think its normal to throw a code... I never threw a code for over 13k miles boosted until I put on test pipes. Now obviously I throw a code, but other than that I'm good.
