I have no idea why you're running an E-Manage with your NA car If I was NA I'd just get a flash and call it a day. Since you're going TT I most definitely DO NOT recommend the E-Manage, that system is crap In my opinion it's the worse engine management out there, even if you think you got the tune correct, sooner or later down the road something bad will happen and it will just be a head ache and a waste of time. So take my advice right now, if you're going TT and thinking of boosting big, don't use the E-Manage, or you WILL switch it in the future, trust me.

why do ppl trash talk when they have no clue from experience? did u ever try the EU or driven in a car with the EU? I bet your knowledge of the EU are just here say.

Now, my side of the EU... the EU is like every other piggyback out there. I have it and have used it for 2 years now without any issues. I;m putting down 420whp/360lb tq and it's my DD. The EU controls everything you need just like the Utec would but at fractions of the cost. If u know u will not be boosting over 12 psi then u can either stick with the EU or any other piggybacks out on the market. Now, if u are wanting to make over 450whp I would recommand getting a standalone EMS like a FCON.

Nothing wrong with using an EU NA, its not much more than a reflash anyways.

If you really really want to keep the EU, it will do the job. I'd rather get at least a UTEC though. Granted the EU interface is easier to mess with, the utec just gets the job done a little better... its piggybacks vs. "parallel" management, obviously the latter will be preferred.

We did dozens of EU tunes back before the UTEC came out. It definately works, but you usually get a little more consistent result with the UTEC. And on an FI car, there are some very nice safety features of the UTEC, such as knock detection and overboost cut, that can prove useful

+1 no other Piggy back and no Reflash (sorry Uprev fans) can give you this. ECU stop monitoring Knock/detonation after 5000rpm, it's kinda stupid coz when racing/drag you stay above 5000rpm 98% of the time (unless you are a a Pu$$y and shift before 5000rpm). I have never hit overboost cutoff but it's comforting to know I'm protected if my Wastage/BCS fail..

FCON Vpro is technically considered piggyback too ProEfi, Haltech, Vpro are considered standalone coz they dont rely on the ECU values to run the car. Look at the price difference, point me to a shop that can do a ProEfi that will sell me the unit with harness for under $1500 with install and Tune? If you want to be picky then no Piggy back that cost less than $1000 offer knock control!! happy now? Last time I checked Haltech dont offer active knock control and Vpro knock amp is an add-on so it will cost your more $$$.

As far as I know there is no full Standalone replacement for our ECU, so if you want to be a picky then every ems out there available for our car does still piggy back to our ECU. GurgenB has been using the Motec but not sure if it actually replace the ECU but our ECU control many other function in our car that it is almost impossible to totally remove it, hence they all piggy back into it. Haltech, ProEfi Vpro all cost close to $3k or even more if you consider Vpro + knock Amp with install and a full tune.
