Remeber where everything went. Take picture when your taking apart stuff, so that you can see where it went and how it went. Also bags the bolts and write down where they go.

 

I think he sold it already.

 

no need for a DIY. you can get it all off in prolly 20 minutes. you just have to replace the bolts in the timing cover with the stock ones and the cog belt pulley bolt back into the block. other than that, just a few hose clamps and its all off.

 

Its super easy, be sure to bag the bolts for the buyer so they have some clue as to what is going on.

I've decided to pay someone to do it since my schedule is so busy.

 

depending on how the oil drain was tapped, if you drilled a hole in the oil casing then that will need to be welded up.

 

it's a V-3. No oil drain tap necessary.

 

why you selling??? you just did this install didnt you?

 

My DIY on a Vortech install,

step 1 - drive to your nearest reputable vq shop
step 2 - open your wallet and pay them
step 3 - go home and relax and wait for the car patiently, now you don't have to get your hands dirty either
step 4 - get in and have fun, if you have problems, bring it back to them and you can go relax again, maybe headaches, but much less than doing it yourself!!

Nothing beats DIY. Not only do you learn more about your car & save a lot of money...its fun

 

paid someone to have it taken off. $350... not too bad.
