Supercharging

I'm thinking of buying a procharger for the G but I have a question for anyone knowledgable in this subject. I have a 2005 5AT and I was wondering if anything will need to be "beefed up" on the car to support the extra HP. Will the transmission and rearend handle another 100 HP or so? I will of course do the VB upgrade on the trans. Will that be enough to keep from breaking something?

You will be fine as a centrifical s/c dosent have a whole lot of torque.The problem with twin turbos is the huge spike in torque in lower rpm ranges were the centrifical slowly buids torque up to redline.
Large amounts of torque is what kills the 5at.

Do your VB at the same time, or before you get your SC is installed. If you wait too long it could start slipping (depending on your driving style) and once it starts to slip the VB will not do you much good for long.

I have an '04 5AT with the ProCharger and been going for 3 years now with minimal issues (**** that everyone has to go through when FI'ing these cars). I had my VB done by SGP, but there are others out there like GTM who also make a good one. I'm making 350whp on a conservative tune and chirped 3rd the other night when I was out playing. I would not recommend Stillen's VB!

Thanks for your help guys. I have one more question the procharger is actually for a 350z. I know g35's have the same engines but is the lay out exactly the same? If not how much change will need to be made to make the install work?

I believe the bracket is the same, the only change will be the piping, which ends up being OK, because the intercooler for the ProCharger usually sits crooked due to space. You'll be able to fix this now
