Lifespan of S/C'd G?
Lifespan of S/C'd G?
Hi all, new to the forums here. I was looking into purchasing a G35 within the next two days or so, and had a question about it. Its a 2003 G35, Coupe, Automatic, with 69k miles on it. It has a Stillen STAGE 4 S/C with Stillen front mount intercooler and Stillen exhaust system. Before buying it, what is the expected lifespan left in the car? I don't want to be purchasing something thats not going to last too long, although it is a steal. Found out Today (May 25th) That there is a TEIN EDFC mounted in the glovebox with TEIN suspension all around.
Thanks

UPDATE: After test driving it today, found out it was a Stage 4 Supercharger, and there are no Catalytic converters, straight pipe exhaust. All stillen. What do you think?
Also, the supercharger wasn't put on untill 30k miles ago, and the previous owner was an older gentleman who didnt drive the car too harshly from what I understood.
Thanks

Usually it's a better idea not to buy a used car with any kind of aftermarket forced induction. You don't know who did the work, how it was done etc and could end up being a real nightmare.
The car itself is known to last a long time so I am sure you can get plenty of life out of it.

Looks clean aside from that hideous bumper.. Appearance wise, it checks out as he mainted it, but still doesn't give you a confident answer. Find out if he a member here, never know.. GL
I'd stay away from any used car with aftermarket FI. Better to buy a stock car with good maintenance history and then if you want to go FI you can but under owner controlled circumstances. It would be a good bet that anyone who went FI has probably thrashed around in the car a bit, if they tell you otherwise it's buyer beware.
Did the ad look like this: 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe, 69k miles, A/T fully loaded, S/C with intercooler, cat back exhaust, 1 owner (little old lady), only driven to the grocery store and back.
