APS twin turbo issues, questions?
Ok so my first question is, how long can I expect an APS twin turbo set up to last me? Because I was told that the turbos may not be as efficient now as when I first had them done two years ago?? And if so does that mean I have to just have them serviced?
I also just got an electronic boost controller and external wastegates installed to replace the manual boost controller and the internal wg. Thinking this would fix the loss of power issue but nothing.
Any input will be appreciated

Do a search on my350z. I believe the problem with the current APS tt kit is that APS swapped out the awesome garrett turbo's that were included in the original kit, with cheap chinese turbos that are horribly innefficient.
In terms of quality, and longevity, nothing comes close to matching the JWT TT kit.

Quick take on JWT vs. APS:
I don't like the flimsy coolant lines and fittings on the JWT kit. I don't like the windshield washer reservoir "fix". I don't like the single hot air intake. I do like the oil supply and drain setup. I do like the aluminum piping.
I don't like the reported oil/smoking issues with the APS kit and was never sure they had the correctly sized restrictor on their kit. Fixing turbo seals can be a very expensive repair. I don't like the stainless steel intake piping. I don't like elimination of the bleed screw at the rear (easy fix). I don't like APS customer service complaints. I don't like the fact that APS swapped components of their tuner kits without full disclosure. I do like the larger turbos (GT2871 or GT30 w/ extreme). I prefer the CJM return fuel system over the APS (but tuner kit solves that). I do like the dual cold air intakes. I do like the APS plenum and baffled oil pan.
Bottom line, I think the original APS kit should last a good while so long as the oil feed and drain has been carefully and properly implemented.

What are your thoughts on the Greddy TT Kit?

this is about the "APS kit" not Greddy.
The bearings wear out over time - improper oiling and/or cooling can cause premature wear. And of course, the seals can give and you leak oil, either into the compressor or exhaust side piping. No idea on the average life of APS turbos, but I've read several reports of failure (which may not be significant overall).
I'd recommend calling the big shops on the East Coast - Forged, Injected Performance, FunctionTuned, Z1 - and get their experience with the kits.

/\ That's what I did, over 25,000 miles on mine when the seals gave out (but I bought the kit used so no real idea how much the previous owner put on them) and swapped with the Garrett 2871R cartridges, now have over 60,000 miles on them and still going strong.
I have 120,000 miles on the car with 115,000 boosted
