Werid AC issue after FI install

I installed a TN kit with utec and everything was fine for about 2 weeks. I changed the map on my utec and started the car and I heard a small pop and the AC went hot. I put the temp all the way cold to 60 degrees and it gets cold. Any other temperature and it will blow hot. Anyone know what could be the issue? I'm still trying to figure what the small "pop" was but I don't think it was a coolant line. I don't hear any hissing when the car is off. Any ideas?

i had an issue like that not to long ago. the service tech said it was a sensor under the steering the column. it took him 2 mins to fix or just disconnect and re-connect

hmmm... interesting. I did go under there right before it happened so it may be something like that. I'll check it out. Thanks.

I had that issue long before I was boosted. I forget what the dealer did to fix it...it had something to do with the circut board or something behind the radio if my memory serves me correct (sorry it was a long time ago).

The cover underneath your steering wheel has a vented small area, roughly the size of your thumbs fingernail on the right-hand side (at least thats where it is on my 03 sedan). Behind that is a sensor that controls the AC temperature. Check to see if that is connected.

Connect that wire back up under the steering wheel that you either forgot to connect or did so loosely...and you'll be fine.

Did they have to dis-charge your A/C with the turbo install? If so, you could be low on refrigerant.

they pulled my refrigerant and put it back after so it should be the same as what I had. It just seems like its pulling hot air from the heater hoses in when at any temp other than 60 degrees. And at 60 its freezing cold. I'm definitely thinking its some kind of switch or electrical issue.

Well MetalP3n and djamps were correct. It was a little 4 wire square pin that was disconnected located behind the bottom cover under the stearing wheel. Sorry it took me so long to fix it. Thanks for the help!
