WOW !!!!!!!!!! I just got home from Franks !! Lance......your car is retarded !!! Both Franks just got finished and I got to go for a ride with Frank Hill . They tuned it at 15 pounds at 530 to the wheels . It pulls like a truck . CONGRATULATIONS BROTHER !! I am Hatin hard ! The car feels like stock !! Franks is a awesome tuner !!

Queston: How do you convert Wheel Horsepower to Engine Horsepower?

There are many variables in this but gererally for an automatic car, there is a 22% loss in power from the engine to the wheels and for a manual about an 18% loss. If you made 250 wheel hp in an automatic car you should be around 305 hp at the engine.

530 x .18 = 95.4

If you do the math and the 18% is a fact this is my HP at the crank.

625.4 at the crank.

If you assume 15% drivetrain loss its:

whp \ 0.85

If 12% loss:

whp \ 0.88

In general that is....so 530rwhp:

530 \ 0.85 = 623bhp (ish) and 530 \ .88 = 602bhp

So between 602-623bph

530 on a dynojet or DD? might as well put all the parts in now, so its actually finished when you get back. The swirl tank/external pump is an even cheaper option if you are strapped.

 

all in all i meet my HP goals.. i don't even know if i should push it more, Frank did advise me there in much room for more with these turbos..but need more fuel..

 

20G's are good for up near 800rwhp somewhere...

But yea 1 walbro ain't gonna get you there. You are probably getting to the "driving limit" of 1 pump

Frank could have gotten more out of it but one Walboro aint going to get it brother . Frank did a safe tune with that pump to be extra safe .
