Went to the dyno today...weeee...I'm happy.

Took my 5AT Vortech G35 to the dyno today to see where I stand after some mods and came out pretty happy.

Engine is stock with long tube headers, 3" exhaust, Vortech w/ 2.87 pulley, 550cc injectors, AAM FRS, upgraded intercooler, plenum spacer and Osiris.

This was at 12psi on 93oct.

did you experience a loss of power with your long tube headers and vortech?

Nice numbers!

Nice! How long have you been boosted? How are the shifts with the 5AT?

I' ve been boosted for about 6-7K miles. My car still spins the tires in 2nd and 3rd gear and the only mod to the tranny is the trans-go shift kit.

As for the headers, I never really dyno'd the headers alone so I wouldn't know.

I've thinking about dropping a Vortech into my 5AT and this just makes me want to even more!

Have you had any problems with it yet and what mods would you recommend to do before getting it? Thanks

No problems at all as far as reliability goes. My tranny was what scared me but it's held great!

As far as mods, it all depends how much power you want out of it.

That's awesome!

I am going to get a shift kit soon, and want to be around 400HP

Also how many miles do you have on your car? I have 80K and am not sure if I should go FI with that many miles.

Haha I was just wondering if it'd still be fine. Plus I plan on not using it as my DD once I get a new car

i wish u had the dyno sheet where it showed your boost level. I would like to see if u actually stayed flat at 12psi or did it fall to a certain psi by redline.

I hit 12psi at 7Krpm. My boost gauge goes up smoothly and never seems to flatten out.
