Replacing Vortech pulley help!

Hey Vortech guys. I want to upgrade my stock 3.33 pulley to a 3.12 pulley. Do I just use a impact wrench to that bolt and the pulley would come right off? I just want to make sure. Thanks!

you're gonna have to loosen up the jackshaft housing in order to get the 3.33 pulley off since the blower restricts how far forward you can move the pulley.

you can impact the bolts, but handtools should be enough. if you're good, you can break loose the bolts on both the jackshaft (cogged) and serpentine (3.33) pulleys at the same time by wrenching on both simultaneously. otherwise, you'll need a rubber strap wrench to hold the pulley still while breaking loose the bolt. the cog belt can also be used to hold the jackshaft pulley stationary, but it'll take some hand strength.

once the jackshaft pulley is off, u can loosen the 4 bolts holding the jackshaft housing to the bracket. just loosen them enough so that you can pull the housing far enough back to allow the serpentine pulley to clear the blower.

when reinstalling, you can tighten the jackshaft and serpentine pulleys simultaneously as described above.
