I'm currently undergoing this same transition actually... I put down a pretty safe 520 with my 2.5" Stillen and as you are already well aware Sylvan was putting down a heap more than that with the same exhaust (technically). Looking over at my thread he supplied some photos of exhaust modification- I think he was 3.5" off the turbos and then down to 3, then down to 2.5 for the Stillen. Something like that- bigger turbos though. He's the 850bb kit...

I can't remember how big of a setup you're running but I was told 3.5" might be a bit on the large side... If you're in the same boat as me then maybe stick with a 3"?

I've been doing quite a bit of research and the people who know seem to think that the Greddy Turbo Ti-C is one of the best available for our application. I am having it installed as we speak- as a matter of fact! I was looking for the Greddy Evo-TT... but apparently they're not available anymore and believe me I looked. People who have them must really like them. GTTi-C is the replacement... and some guys in the know actually prefer some parts of it over its predecessor. One part in particular was the mufflers... You and I are similarly motivated- I prefer to be seen and not heard. 3 inch was too much noise and 2.5 not enough flow.

The restrictive elbow coming off (my) turbo is being knocked off and going to a straight 3" down to the 2.75 exhaust. As it was explained to me... as the exhaust cools it starts to lose volume so the restriction will be minimal.

I think where you and I run into trouble is with the built short block... I think we need some cam / valve work done before we go too much farther and I don't know about you but that's just not going to happen on my end any time soon.

I do remember reading that discussion in your thread. Still have yet to find any other 2.75" exhausts. I'll just stick with the 3" down pipes then and will get the Ti-C.

I do plan on installing the JWT S2 cams w/ springs later on, but those won't be going on until I finally build the tranny. Do you plan on getting larger valves?

No I don't think so at this point. I think from here on in I'll stick with cosmetic mods and try to keep the existing build healthy.

And someow can correct me but I'm pretty sure that exhaust is the only 2.75 on the market ...

Sorry to jack tread but whats are DRs? im goign to track days and using my Daily 295/265 19s but did get a set of 17s to get some nice track tires, is it safer using smaller tires for track like 2245/225 setup?

I think I might take you up on the offer, I need to do some quick research on the cams first.

The cosworth cams were my first choice. Unfortunately cosworth doesn't have any of the zk2 in stock for the rev up heads for my 2007 (and it didn't sound like they had any intention of making any soon - wanted a min order of 5! ) The next best choice for me was JWT.

I believe so. I noticed recently that at 4500rpm @ WOT there's a pause in acceleration that lasts roughly a second. My tuner and others say its probably the TC. Planning on upgrading the TC here in a few weeks.
