let me know if yours was wired this way because I an curious if this was the problem for you. I contacted vortech to make sure what I did was correct but they couldnt answer me. All they said was make sure it is wired correct. Well thats why I am calling you because if I wire it like the directions say, the pump runs all the time. Let me know what you find!

 

Mine was wired exactly as the directions stated and this included the ground off the pump directly. I will be really pissed if solving the issue just required removing that ground but oh well I said f*ck it and put 600cc injectors in, 255lph walbro pump, 1000hp mas, and took out the unichip for UpRev and got it tuned.

If anyone wants the full stock vortech fuel system including the unichip I will hook you up. Just remember not to ground the pump directly to the chassis

 

Dont feel bad! You've got a solid setup now and it took me some time to figure out the ground issue, but it does leave me wondering if the pump is really turning on when it is meant to. I am going to install a l.e.d. light next to my fuel pressure gauge and wire that to the positive and negative on the fuel pump, so when the pump is getting power to turn on, my led will light up and let me know its on. For $3 for the light, it gives me peace of mind that I know the pump is working.

 

Damn that is a really good idea. Yea because I heard the pump is only supposed to kick in when the ecu registers boost.

I'm surprised this issue hasn't come up before, thanks for the insight and hopefully that pump is kicking on.
