How many miles is too many?

This is too hard of a topic to search for, with the answered questions in here maybe we can make a sticky??? (Tim )

I'm considering procharging my Sedan. Minimal boost, no more than 7 or 8psi that the procharger set up does.

I am at about 95k miles. Is my car past it's prime for el boosto? It doesn't see winter driving and has been well maintained at the dealer (from old owner) all synthetics since new.

What do you think? Do my compression tests and see where I'm at?

It's not the miles, it's the condition of the motor. Get a compression and leak down test to see it's condition. IMHO

compression and leak down.. if #'s are good and you maintained it how you said you did then you are good to go.

I've heard that a compression and leak down test might help.

I heard something about a compression and leak down test? I just ordered the kit, should I do these tests after I install it? Can I do them in my garage with a 10mm ratchet and a pop can?

scraped or scrapped?

95K miles is a good break in period. I wouldn't be worried about boosting. Just make sure the tune is done right.

i wish i would have went this way, i have a friend that really tried pushing me this way(he is a mechanic and fabricator) but I said it is like taking two steps back smaller displacement and old technology. However all of the grief I have had with my set up makes me wish I went the RB route at least i would have something a little different. Small word of advice no matter what condition the RB is in have it rebuild and a Nur spec oil pump put in, too many guys I know lost RBs to oil pumps that failed
