well, started the install last night. worked on it about 3 hours or so, and just removed the front bumper, intake, undercar shroud things, cats and Y-pipe.

the pictures suck, but forgive me. i took them at 1am.

started more work around 9pm. after an hour of searching teh intranetz, i realized i was using the wrong piping for the mid up-pipe....FML

found the right piping, but still couldn't get it to fit the way it was supposed to. Went back to the pictures i previously found, and realized the stock exhaust manifolds have a heat shield on my car, which was A) not found on the other installs, and B) was never mentioned to be removed on the PowerLab instructions.l

looks like i may need to get a hammer and do some gentle massaging in the morning. looking to gain about 1/4 to 1/2" of needed clearance.

Good luck with the install. I would recomend adding some cooling mods as well...larger radiator and an oil cooler to start. Heat is your enemy with FI and you can never have too much cooling in my opinion.

well ran into a rather significant setback. the mid pipe on the kit is hitting the steering knuckle. it looks like i need at least 1/2 to 1 inch clearsnce to get it to sit how it needs to.

with that being said my buddy and i are gonna try and mount most of everything else and thrn try and fab up a new midpipe.

i was getting discouraged, but realized this will be the first of many setbacjs. so ill embtace it as an opportunity to learn

Yeah, don't get discouraged. Doing this yourself is going to be a lot of work with bumps along the way.

Your taking on a turbo with one of the more complicated cars. having some short piping is not a big deal. I wish you the best of luck, thats a serious project! Just label and take your time. If you need any replacement parts let me know. again good luck!

well thanks for the encouragement. i'll keep at it, hopefully it won't take me too long to figure out the piping aspect of it.

FYI, this is what i'm dealing with. no big deal in the grand scheme of things, and in retrospect. it's what i should have expected when buying a part not truly designed for a sedan.

Do you have anymore pics, that does not look correct from when I did a powerlab install for a local memeber. I know you have a sedan, but hold if you can get me some more pics I might be able to help.
