My Turbo Project w/pics

Okay so I got a Powerlab kit some pictures of the project. The car is a 05 Auto. There was modifications to make the kit fit the auto and the g35 is quite the tight car to begin with. Also added was 3.0" single exhaust to HKS muffler, AEM trueboost, and wideband, GTM engine cooler, B&M tranny cooler, Koyo radiator, slim fans, Uprev Osiris Tuner, Walbro 255 fuel pump, and 450cc injectors. GT35R also has the bigger 1.03 housing. I thought you guys might like to see the car and some install pictures.

car a couple summers ago

external wastegate

old 02 holes wouldn't work with tranny

turbo wrapped up like a baby
exhaust

a little better wheel for the track than my 20's

an Axis wheel at the polisher going to polished lips

Thanks man. It was on the dyno getting tuned and was making 370 at 6lbs with just fuel adjustments and no timing on Tuesday night. My tuners wife ended up going into labor Wednesday so the car will be finished on Sunday. I will have a 4,6, and 8 lb map, along with a 35 mph and 85 mph valet mode. I'm pretty stoked to get her all done.

I'm looking for high 12's in the 1/4 g35buzz. I hope that is a pretty realistic expectation for my setup with full stereo but I'm not sure.

Here are a few pics of the added weight. The car also has 3 packs of dynamat in it.

I was thinking of doing the transgo shift kit first. I was also thinking of going with the 3.5 pumpkin with 4.08 gears like a few NA guys but i don't know if thats good with a turbo. Does anyone have any thoughts on that combo with FI. I also want to do to do brakes and suspension. Does anyone know the biggest brakes that will clear Z32 wheels?

Definitely get the Transgo, tranny shifts much better. I'm currently using a 3.7 and I intend to keep it.

I can vouch for the transgo... probably the best upgrade I did throughout my experience. Well, except for the TT of course but that's another story. (It's not my favourite yet!)

4.08 you might get some exessive wheel spin of the line I would stick with something you can buy complete with the gear set already in like the 6mt 3.5fd or the G37 3.7FD. I have driven a Turbo G35 with a 3.9FD and the wheel spin was not as bad as I thought it would be off the line, but for simplicity and cost personally I would buy a drop in pumpkin off a G37

What are the Z32 wheels 15" or 16"? I don't think you will find a lot of aftermarket BBK will clear small wheels like that. A stock set of Z32 brakes could be retro fitted or possibly get some 4 piston brakes for the front and leave the rears stock just upgrade pads and SS lines?
